The Ambassador
Two spotlights are set up vis-à-vis in a dark room . One of them beams towards the other one. The ceilling fan creates a moving shadow. Thermal difference activates a motion detector, which switches on the other spotlight with a short time delay. In the meantime the first spotlight has died down. The mechanism restarts the other way round – on and on.
